I was made redundant almost a year ago. I was told the firm had lost a lot of money the previous year, and that staff had to be trimmed to avoid bankruptcy. However a few months later I was able to obtain a copy of the company’s accounts and discovered its finances were in fact quite healthy. Can I claim unfair dismissal?

Three years ago I was given a cheque by the company I work for for expenses. However owing to a number of unfortunate circumstances I lost the cheque, and they now refuse to issue another one. Do I have a right to claim this money at this stage?
