After parking in a council car park I returned to find I’d received a parking ticket for “failing to park in a designated bay”. The painted lines were so faint it was impossible to tell where you were supposed to park. I ended up in court, relying on there being a “reasonable doubt”, but lost the case. I complained to the court services, but was told it was “up to the judge”. Can you comment?
I can only think that you failed to convince the judge that there was reasonable doubt. You have to do slightly more than just turn up in court! If you had taken photographs of the area where you parked it would no longer have just been your word against the council’s.
