My sister had cosmetic surgery costing more than £3,000 on her nose, but she isn’t happy with the result. Instead of reducing the size the surgeon simply removed the bump on the bridge. My sister is very depressed, but I wonder what her rights are?
It will boil down to whether she made her wishes clear, and of course whether she can prove it. If your sister asked the surgeon in writing to reduce the size of her nose and he failed to do this, she might be entitled to compensation or further work at no charge. If on the other hand she simply asked the surgeon to make improvements, it’s likely to be a matter of opinion whether or not the result was a success. She should discuss the issue with a solicitor.
