In theory it should be possible in some circumstances to divorce in four-and-a-half months. In practice there are many possible reasons for delay, especially if one of the parties (including your husband’s solicitor) is not quick at turning paperwork around. However the fact that you cannot get an answer from your solicitor is cause enough for complaint.
