Areas of Law / Personal Injury

After an accident at work I received a report from the consultant which I feel does not fully explain about the disfigurement and damage I suffered. Is there a procedure for challenging the report?

It’s not clear whether the consultant you saw was as an outpatient or one who had been instructed by a solicitor representing you in a personal injury claim. In such cases you need to see a solicitor who is a member of the personal injury panel, who may take your case on a no-win no-fee basis. The solicitor in turn would instruct a consultant who would be experienced in this type of work. If you have already taken this route you should discuss your misgivings with your solicitor. Unfortunately you won’t be able to simply instruct a different consultant in the hope of obtaining a more favourable report.
